In order to spend your time and our time as efficiently as possible, we work by appointment only. Every weekday, monday from 08:00 onwards, tuesday to friday from 07:00 onwards.

If you would like to make an appointment, please call our assistant any day between 8:00 and 17:00. We reserve ten minutes for each consultation/appointment. If possible, please inform the assistant of the reason for your visit so that she can take this into account when making the appointment. If you think that you may need more than ten minutes, it is possible to request a double appointment.

The practice is closed on Thursdays afternoon from 12.00. For emergencies: 040 – 211 72 12 and listen for the telephone number mentioned

Make sure to call the assistant as soon as you know you won’t be able to come to your appointment, so that we can give that time slot to someone else who needs it.

If you are late for your appointment, we must unfortunately arrange a new appointment with you.

 

House calls

Request a house call only if you can’t leave your home for medical reasons. It is almost always better if you are able to come to the practice, since we have more resources for treatment and diagnosis there.

To assess the degree of urgency and seriousness, the assistant will need to inquire about the reason for a house call request.

Please request house calls before 9:30.

 

Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be requested via the assistant.
We kindly ask you not to call between 8:00 and 9:00 to request repeat prescriptions.

 

The practice assistant

The assistant is your first point of contact with the practice. She makes sure that the practice is as well-organised as possible. The assistant can give you advice about minor complaints. She regularly receives follow-up training for this purpose.

There are clear agreements about the tasks the assistant is/isn’t allowed to perform. Assistants have a duty of confidentiality, just like the GP.

Procedures
You can call the assistant to make an appointment for: measuring your blood pressure, spraying out your ears, injections, pregnancy testing, wound care and cervical smears.

Urine testing
Please hand in urine for bladder infection or pregnancy testing within 2 hours after voiding. Place a sticker on the jar that states your name and date of birth.

Other task
Other tasks performed by the assistant are: keeping the files organised and updated, making appointments, arranging hospital admissions, etcetera. To be able to perform these tasks with the utmost care, time is reserved  every day between 12:30 and 13:30, during that time the assistant can only be reached in case of emergency. Nurse Practitioner
The nurse practitioner (NP) is trained to assist people with COPD, asthma, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. He/she can also help you to stop smoking. You can make an appointment with the NP after a referral from your general practitioner.
